Spirituality, academics, and service characterize the foundation of education at Saint Andrew Catholic School. Religion is integrated throughout the curriculum. Achieving rigorous academic standards is a hallmark of learning, enabling graduating students to qualify for admission to, and scholarships from, the most prestigious regional high schools.

The 2025 graduating class earned $1,147,100 in scholarships. All stakeholders participate in community outreach.

Financial literacy is incorporated through Junior Achievement and an official, FDIC-approved, branch of the First National Bank and Trust of Newtown, staffed by student tellers! Cutting-edge technology enhances learning through a computer lab, 1-to-1 Chromebooks, iPad carts, and interactive touchscreen technology in classrooms. Differentiated instruction encourages students to strive for and meet their full potential, resulting in a profound effect on student achievement. The intellectual development of each student promotes the highest level of critical thinking and problem-solving. A learning support program assists students through individual and small group instruction, accommodations, and modifications.

Extracurricular activities provide an opportunity for students to enjoy time for social and emotional development outside the classroom. Athletics, chorus, instrumental music, science fair, Reading Olympics, newspaper, and numerous after-school clubs are just some of the programs offered.

Saint Andrew Catholic School is a family. Respectful interactions and communications occur among all stakeholders. Visitors frequently comment that the kindness and compassion are palpable, confirming that our motto, "Work Hard and Be Kind," is being accomplished daily.

Saint Andrew Catholic School was awarded Blue Ribbon School status in 2013 and 2021.

The criteria for becoming an Archdiocesan School of Distinguished Instruction are based on student performance in standardized tests.

Schools can be categorized into two distinct categories:

GROWTH - Requires a full year of academic progress across all tested levels.
EXCEEDING POTENTIAL - Requires the majority of classes to meet or surpass their potential in all content areas, as determined by TerraNova and InView testing.

Schools can achieve recognition in one or both categories, signifying both academic progress and high levels of achievement. Recognition for growth is determined by comparing the Normal Curve Equivalent (NCE) score from this year's examinations to the score from last year. Recognition for Exceeding Potential is determined by analyzing data from ability testing (InView) and achievement testing (TerraNova), and having 90% of all classes meeting or exceeding their potential.

Every year is unique, but we have achieved 100% in Growth and Exceeding Potential on multiple occasions. Additionally, we have received the Archdiocese of Philadelphia School of Distinction every year the

Cognia Accreditation is respected around the world, providing an independent mark of quality in over 100 countries. Network members value the opportunity for self-assessment combined with independent third-party evaluation, strengthening the credibility that the Cognia Accreditation seal brings to a student's transcript and diploma.

AdvancED, the predecessor company, was formed in 2006 through the merger of North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement and Southern Association Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. Northwest Accreditation Commission joined in 2012, and after an additional merger, the organization became Cognia in 2019.

Accreditation is the launchpad for school improvement, and is based on rigorous research-based standards and evidence-based criteria. The process probes the whole institution - from policies to learning conditions and cultural context - to determine how well the parts work together to meet the needs of every learner.

Saint Andrew Catholic School became Cognia Accredited January 28, 2016, and reaccredited in 2023.
